Someone on the fadecandy mailing list has done a sky tunnel made of RGB LEDs with two sources of interaction. It's an amazing idea that I simply love. I really would like to make the light dance inside the sky tunnel with the sound visualization algorithm I've already developed. I will probably hack the sky tunnel code as soon as I have it.
